Soft Corals
Soft corals sometimes contain a protein skeleton, or scutes of calcium carbonate, or in the case of pipe organ coral, a whole colorful skeleton you can see as it grows! The best definition of a soft coral is to say it is within the order Alcyonacea, and then further divided by family, genus, and finally species. Best for beginners! Most soft corals grow very quickly with little fuss concerning nutrient combination. They still need to be cared for all the same but require far less involvement than your typical hard coral. We carry a diverse collection of soft corals and firmly stand by the fact that we have something for everyone, even if you’re picking corals based on color alone. If you have any questions concerning care or the best way to support your new soft corals, get in contact with us. We are happy to help.
